UKResearch Reserve

A major collaboration between the British Library and HE institutions to develop co-ordinated and sustainable long-term retention, storage and access to low-use printed research journals. This UK-wide, strategic and shared initiative will provide:

 

•           quick and ubiquitous access to research material

•           co-ordinated retention and storage of low-use print journals

•           de-duplication of low-use journals across the sector

 

Google Generation: Information behaviour of the researcher of the future

Commissioned by the Library and JISC, this major research report carried out by UCL overturns the assumption that the ‘Google Generation’ is the most web-literate, and warns that going virtual is critical and learning what researchers want and need crucial if libraries are not to become obsolete.
