Welcome to the Hispanic Section of the British Library. The aim
of the Section is to acquire and make available selected publications
in the humanities and social sciences at research level from Spain,
Portugal, Latin America, the Spanish-speaking Caribbean and the
former Hispanic territories in Asia and Africa. Languages covered
are Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, Galician, Basque and Amerindian
languages. Current, second-hand and antiquarian material in the
humanities and social sciences is acquired by purchase and donation.
An information service is provided for specialist enquiries about
the Hispanic collections and requests for bibliography relating
to the Hispanic world.
