The largest department, we have over 1000 people from imaging technicians to reading room and reference experts, all of whom provide support for our users.
From web archiving to sound archiving, cataloguing to illuminated manuscript preservation, we curate and protect the Library’s vast collections.
E Strategy and Information systems
We are driving forward global developments in search and navigation and digital technology. Programme management, architecture, application development and network infrastructure are some of the areas we cover.
Finance and Corporate services
Accounting & financial operations, estates & facilities management, procurement & contracting, integrated risk management, security, health & safety, strategic planning and information & programme management - all vital components in this core Department.
Strategic Marketing and Communications
We have 130 people. They work in a huge range of areas – from product development, sales and website construction, to publishing, sponsorship and public relations.
In order to select and develop our 2000 people, our department covers a whole range of areas, including operations, employee relations, remuneration, organisational development and diversity.
