Finance and Corporate services
The nature of Finance and Corporate services means that we’re involved in supporting just about every aspect of the Library’s business.
This could involve the Security and Estates team working to support major high-profile events, such as the launching of Microsoft Vista by Bill Gates at the St Pancras building. Or our Finance professionals developing business models to help us adapt to – and lead the way in – the digital information revolution. Or our procurement teams working on major capital programme schemes to create unique structures, like the ground-breaking automated low-oxygen storage at Boston Spa.
We are at the heart of planning for the future, as we put together the Library’s 2008/2009 strategic plan. We are leading the work on how the Library can gain more revenue streams. Finally, we are looking at how, as an organisation, we can rebalance our resources to meet our objectives – to become an ever more accessible National Library that leads the way in the digital information age.
Join us, and you’ll be working in a unique environment, where we aim to set world-class standards in everything we do. We want to create, rather than just achieve, best practice.
