Technical specification for Turning the Pages 2.0™

Turning the Pages 2.0 is based on new technologies from Microsoft that are part of Windows Vista. It provides an amazing user experience, but has a higher hardware requirement as a result. The recommended specification for a PC to run the application is Microsoft 's 'Vista Premium Ready' PC:

  • 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor.
  • 1 GB of system memory.
  • Support for DirectX 9 graphics with a WDDM driver, 128 MB of graphics memory (minimum), Pixel Shader 2.0 and 32 bits per pixel.
  • 40 GB of hard drive capacity with 15 GB free space.

You should also ensure you are running the latest drivers for your graphics card. You can do this by going to Control Panels/System/Hardware/Device Manager and right-clicking your display adapter and choosing update driver.

Turning the Pages 2.0™ will also run on Mac OS and other operating systems in a new Silverlight version. Microsoft® Silverlight™ is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering rich interactive applications for the Web.

If you experience slow page turns try shrinking your browser window and/or closing any other applications running in the background.
