a user or visitor with disabilities

We want our website to be simple for everyone to use and we aim to address the needs of users with sight or motor disabilities.

We recognise that there is more to be done and we are working towards full compliance with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) guidelines. We have consulted the Royal National Institute for the Blind about improvements for the visually impaired and have implemented their recommendations. If you have any advice on how we can meet your particular needs, we would be very pleased to receive your comments.

The Library is constantly working to make its buildings and services more easily accessible for people with disabilities. There is a detailed guide on access for visitors to our St Pancras building. There is also information on access to British Library Newspapers at Colindale in North London and access information for our reading room at Boston Spa in Yorkshire will be added to this website in the near future.

We welcome your comments and suggestions.
